Hi! I’m Yaman Akdogan, a Berklee College of Music graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, and a lifelong music lover.

My musical journey started in Turkey when I was a kid, teaching myself traditional songs on the guitar. Everything changed when I met an inspiring teacher who showed me that music should be fun, creative, and exciting. That experience led me to Berklee College of Music as a scholarship student. Now my mission is to help students build a confident, enjoyable relationship with their instrument—playing favorite songs, learning to jam and improvise, and finally enjoying the process of practicing.

I’ve spent the last 15 years teaching at places like Berklee College of Music, Bunker Hill Community College, and Note-Worthy Experiences Music School in Boston. At the same time, I’ve stayed busy as a performer, touring both locally and nationally across the U.S. Along the way, I’ve been lucky enough to play legendary stages like Carnegie Hall in New York, the House of Blues, and the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood.

I’d love to bring my real-world stage experience into our lessons and help students play the music they love with confidence. We’ll work on favorite styles and songs while building the skills needed to keep growing. Let’s make some music and have fun doing it!
